Add Host Records to Your CD Domain

If you want to use your own custom name servers, such as ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com, you’ll need to add Host Records (also called Glue Records) to your Crazy Domains account. Adding host records is like registering your name servers with the domain registry, so the registry knows where to find them on the internet.

You can only add host records to the domain name itself — meaning you’ll need to access the Domain Manager of the specific domain you’re using as your custom name servers.

Here's how you can add host records to your domain name:

  1. Access your domain.
  2. Click on the Name Servers tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Host Records section and click on ADD HOST RECORD
  4. Enter the host record and its IP address and click on SAVE RECORD

I cannot delete the existing host records

Host records cannot be deleted if they are being used by another domain as its name servers. Make sure no domains are using them before you delete.
