Install SSL Certificate in Plesk

This article explains how to install an SSL certificate in Plesk and apply it to a website hosted on your server. It also outlines the required certificate components and how they are used during installation.

Before you begin

Before installing the SSL certificate, ensure you have the required certificate components ready. These are typically provided after the certificate has been issued.

If you purchased the SSL certificate from Crazy Domains, you can download your SSL certificate files in your Crazy Domains account. If the certificate was purchased from another provider, the same components are supplied by that provider after issuance.

You will need:

  • The domain SSL Certificate - usually, the file is named after your domain
  • Certificate Authority bundle - you can find this together with your SSL Certificate compressed (zip) file (i.e., Root CA Certificate, Intermediate CA Certificate).
  • Private Key - this is already in your server when you generate the CSR.

These components must match each other for the SSL installation to work correctly.
