CD Website Builder | Website Editor

Familiarise yourself with the Website Editor interface to easily get around and make the most of the website builder’s features.

 

 

The Website Editor interface have the following sections:

  1. Top Menu
  2. Side Menu
  3. Canvas
  4. Help

 

Top Menu

The following actions can be found in the Top Menu of your Website Editor.
 

Buttons  Description and actions 
Website Builder Interface
This button will redirect you back to your Website Builder dashboard. 
Undo
The Undo button reverses back the changes made within the Website Editor. This works if the changes made are not yet published. 

Redo

The Redo button reapplies the changes made before you click the Undo button. 
Site Backups

The Site Backups button gives the list of existing backups with the date and time of each. This button also has the option to CREATE BACKUP.

 

Click the available backup to see how it looks like. From here, you can click RESTORE BACKUP to restore the website version you are viewing. 

Desktop View
The Desktop button lets you see the website page in a Desktop view.  
Laptop View
The Laptop button lets you see the website page in a laptop view. 
Tablet View
Click the Tablet button to see the webpage in tablet view.
Phone View
The Phone button gives you the phone view of the webpage.
Preview
Click the PREVIEW button to see what the website looks like when it is published and live.
Publish
The PUBLISH button is what you click whenever you’re ready to make the website live and update its changes. 

 

Side Menu

Get to know each of the buttons on the menu bar on the left side of Website Builder.

 

Buttons  Description and actions 
Add Element

Click the Add Element button to see the available elements you can use for your website.

 

Just drag and drop the element you want to the desired location on your canvas.

Add Section

Click the Add Section button to see the available pre-defined sections you can use for your website. 

 

Just drag and drop the section you want to the desired location on your canvas.

Pages

Click the Pages button to see the existing pages of your website.

 

Click ADD PAGE to add a new website page.

 

Hover your mouse over the existing page and click the gear icon to see the following actions: 

  • Rename the page 
  • Duplicate the page 
  • Hide the page 
  • Delete the page 
  • Manage and optimise the page for SEO 
Blog

Click Blog to see options to enable your website's blog feature. 

Once enabled, you can start adding new posts here.

Theme

Click Theme to manage the following theme features: 

  • Colors 
  • Fonts 
  • Headings 
  • Links 
  • Buttons 
  • Quotes 
  • Line 
  • Countdown 
  • Timeline 
Settings

Click Settings to manage the following website settings:

  • Time Zone 
  • Favicon 
  • Company Information 
  • Google Analytics 
  • Google Tag Manager 
  • Site Verification 
  • Google reCaptcha 
  • Sitemap.xml 
  • Robots.txt 
  • Social Media links 
  • Cookie Banner 
  • Enable Website Analytics 
  • Custom HTML 
  • Delete Website 
Show Layout
Click Show Layout to make the website layout visible on your canvas. 
Sidebar Menu Lock

Click this to lock the Sidebar Menu on the side (always visible). 

 

Disabling Sidebar Menu will automatically hide it.  

 

Once disabled, you can hover your mouse on the left edge of your screen to show the Sidebar Menu

 

Canvas

The Canvas is the main design area where you build and customize your web pages. It’s where you can visually arrange your content by dragging and dropping elements and features directly from the Side Menu, allowing you to create a layout that fits your style and needs with ease.

Use the help section to search for Website Builder guides and tutorials.
