Change Account Username

This article explains how to change the username associated with a Crazy Domains account. It lists the username requirements and provides steps to update the username through the security settings. The article also explains how to retrieve a lost username using the password reset process.

 

The username, together with your password, is used to prevent any unauthorized access to your Crazy Domains account. Initially, all usernames are system-generated, but hey, you can always change it to something that’s easy for you to remember. You can do it in a few simple steps.

 

Before you proceed, please note that your username:

• must contain at least 8 characters
• can be in lowercase or uppercase
• can include numbers, but no special characters

 

How to change your account username

The following are the steps on how to change your account username:

 

1. Go to your account Security Settings.
2. In the Login Details section, click EDIT for the username.
3. In the Change Your Username textbox, enter your new desired username and current password
4. Click SAVE CHANGES.

Before closing your browser, make sure to test if the username is working. Try logging out and logging in to the Account Manager with your new username.

 

How to retrieve a lost username

The following are the steps on how to retrieve a lost username:

 

1. Initiate a password reset through the Crazy Domains Lost password page.
2. Enter the domain or email address used on your account.
3. Once you receive the password reset link, click the Reset Password button, and it will show the username.
4. You don't have to change your password. Just copy your username, and you can close the page after.
