Unlock or Lock Your CD Domain
By default, all domains registered with Crazy Domains are locked for security. Domain locking prevents unauthorized transfers. However, if you plan to transfer your domain to another registrar, you’ll need to unlock it first. This guide will show you how to easily lock or unlock your domain through your Domain Manager.
- Go to your Domain Manager.
- In the Overview page, find the Domain Lock row.
- Switch the Domain Lock on or off.
IMPORTANT. The Domain Lock feature is not the only reason your domain may be locked. Other types of locks may also apply, such as:
- A registry lock within 60 days of a new registration or a previous transfer.
- A 60-day transfer lock after a Change of Registrant (when domain ownership details are updated).
These locks are automatically applied for security and compliance with ICANN policies.
