How To Enable DNSSEC for Your Domain
This article explains how to enable DNSSEC for your domain by publishing the DS (Delegation Signer) record values generated from your name server provider to your domain registrar.
Before you start
To enable DNSSEC, two systems must work together:
- Your DNS provider (name server) - Generates the DS record values
- Your domain registrar - publishes the DS record to your domain.
Step 1: Get the DS record values
Get the following DS record values from your DNS or name server provider:
- Key Tag
- Algorithm
- Digest Type
- Digest
NOTE. DNSSEC is not supported on our name servers. To enable DNSSEC for your domain, you must use external name servers that support DNSSEC.
Step 2: Provide the DS record values to your domain registrar
Contact your domain registrar and provide the DS record values to them.
If your domain is registered with us:
- You can use external name servers that support DNSSEC.
- Get the DS record values from your external name servers provider.
- Provide the DS record values to us, and we will publish it to your domain.
