Before You Begin
Make sure you can access your cPanel, then proceed with the instructions below.
Set Up Email Forwarding for Individual Emails
Use this option to forward all incoming messages from one email address to another — for example, from [email protected] to [email protected].
To set up a forwarder:
- Go to the Email section and click Forwarders.
- Click Add Forwarder.
- Under Address to Forward, enter the username of the email address you want to forward (e.g., joe).
- Under Domain, select the correct domain for that email address.
- Under Destination, select Forward to Email Address.
- Enter the full email address that will receive the forwarded messages (e.g., [email protected]).
- Click Add Forwarder, then click OK to confirm.
Example:
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
Once set up, all incoming emails to your selected address will automatically be forwarded to the destination email.
Manage Existing Forwarders
- Search — To quickly find a specific entry, type a keyword in the Search box and click Go.
- Trace — To view the route a forwarded email takes, find the address and click the Trace icon under the Actions column.
- Delete — To remove a forwarder, find the entry, click the Delete icon under the Actions column, then click Delete Forwarder to confirm.
Set Up Email Forwarding for All Emails in a Domain
Use this option — also called Domain Forwarding — to forward all emails sent to one domain over to another domain.
For example, if someone sends an email to [email protected]:
- If [email protected] exists, cPanel delivers it normally and does not forward it.
- If [email protected] does not exist, cPanel forwards it to the destination domain.
To set up a domain forwarder:
- Go to the Email section and click Forwarders.
- Click Add Domain Forwarder.
- Select the domain whose emails you want to forward.
- In the field beside it, enter the destination domain.
- Click Add Domain Forwarder.
You’re all set!
You've successfully set up email forwarding in cPanel. You can return to the Forwarders section in cPanel anytime to update or remove your settings.
