Getting Started With Windows Hosting

This article provides an overview of the key initial steps required to set up and start using your Windows hosting environment. It covers accessing your hosting control panel, creating a website, connecting a domain, and setting up email accounts in Plesk.

Access your hosting control panel

Before you can manage your hosting services, you need to access your control panel.

In Windows hosting, this is done through Plesk, which provides a centralized interface for managing websites, domains, email accounts, and server settings. You can follow the steps in our guide on Plesk for Windows-Based Hosting to get started.

Create a website

Once you have access to Plesk, the next step is to create your website. There are different methods available depending on your setup and requirements, such as manually uploading files or using an installer.

In this article, we focus on creating a website by installing WordPress in Plesk, which is the most commonly used option for building and managing websites. You can proceed with the setup by following our guide on how to Install WordPress on Windows-Based Hosting

Connect a domain to your Windows hosting

Your domain must be configured to point to your hosting server before the website can be accessed publicly.

This is done by updating the domain’s nameservers to the hosting nameservers.

Create Plesk email accounts

As part of setting up your hosting environment, you can also create email accounts using your domain name. This allows you to send and receive emails using a professional address managed through Plesk.
