Change the Ownership of Your CD Domain

Every domain name has a Registrant—the legal owner who holds the rights to use and manage the domain. You can transfer the ownership of the domain to another person or business by updating the domain registrant. To do this, follow the steps below depending on the TLD (top-level domain) of the domain you want to update. 

 

For gTLDs and .AU domains 

The change of ownership process is now automated for gTLDs (domains with three or more characters, such as .com, .net, .org, .online, .xyz) and for .AU domains. Follow the steps below for detailed instructions. 

 

For other ccTLDs

  1. Fill out the COO form. Learn how to download the form here: How To Download the COO Form
  2. Contact our Customer Support team to initiate the COO Process.
