Crazy Domains DNS

This article explains the DNS and name servers offered by Crazy Domains, how to manage them, and how to check where your domain’s DNS settings are hosted.

Crazy Domains provides different DNS services depending on your product or plan. Each type uses specific name servers, which also determines where you manage your DNS records.

Standard and Premium DNS

Domains registered with Crazy Domains automatically use Standard DNS, which supports essential records like A, AAAA, CNAME, and MX. If your domain needs advanced records such as TXT or SRV, you can upgrade to Premium DNS.

To learn more, read our full guide on Standard and Premium Name Servers.

Web Hosting DNS

If you have a web hosting plan with Crazy Domains, your domain can use the Web Hosting DNS. The DNS management interface depends on your hosting type:

  • Linux hosting – managed via cPanel
  • Windows hosting – managed via Plesk

How to check where your DNS is hosted

You can determine where your DNS is managed by checking your domain’s current name servers. If your domain uses ns1.crazydomains.com and ns2.crazydomains.com, it is using Standard DNS managed in your Account Manager

If it uses ns1.dnspackage.com and ns2.dnspackage.com, it is using Premium DNS. While a separate Premium DNS product appears in your account, all DNS changes still sync with the main DNS settings in your Account Manager

If your domain uses ns1.syrahost.com and ns2.syrahost.com, your DNS is managed through your web hosting control panel—either cPanel DNS for Linux hosting or Plesk DNS for Windows hosting.

How to check your domain’s current name servers

If you are unsure which DNS service your domain is using, you can check its active name servers through a Whois lookup.

  1. Open a WHOis Lookup page.
  2. Enter your domain name in the box provided.
  3. Click Lookup WHOIS
  4. On the WHOIS lookup result, find the Name Servers section to see the current name servers of your domain.
