Set Up MX and TXT Records for Titan Email

This article explains how to verify your domain and activate your Titan email accounts by setting up the correct MX and TXT records.

To verify your domain and activate your Titan Email, you must add the following DNS records to your domain. These MX and TXT records confirm your domain ownership, ensure your email address is valid, protect against misuse, and route incoming messages to your Titan mailbox. Without them, your email will not function properly.

DNS zone specific instructions

The steps to add MX and TXT records depend on the DNS zone you are using. Please follow the instructions for your DNS zone:

General instructions

If your DNS is hosted with another provider, follow these general setup instructions:

  1. Go to the DNS settings of your domain.
  2. Find the existing MX record for your domain.
  3. Update or add MX records.
    • If an MX record exists, replace its value with the Titan Email MX record.
    • If no MX record exists or you need to add the second MX record, create a new MX record using the Titan Email MX record values
  4. Do the same with the TXT record.
  5. Wait for the changes to take effect. DNS update may take up to 72 hours to work.
