What Name Server Should I Use

This article helps you determine which name servers your domain should use so you edit the correct DNS zone — whether it’s Standard or Premium DNS, or Web Hosting DNS. This prevents confusion and ensures your DNS update will work.

Why This Matters

Customers with both a domain registration and a web hosting plan will have multiple DNS zones:

If you edit a DNS zone that your domain isn’t using, the changes won’t apply to your website or email. This is a common source of confusion and extra support requests

Choosing the Correct Name Servers

To make changes in the correct DNS zone, your domain must be using the corresponding name servers:

Preferred DNS zone Name servers

You want to use the DNS in your Account Manager

Use the name servers ns1.crazydomains.com and ns2.crazydomains.com.

If you upgraded your Account Manager DNS to Premium, use the name servers, ns1.dnspackage.com and ns2.dnspackage.com.

You want to use the cPanel DNS or Plesk DNS

Use the name servers, ns1.syrahost.com and ns2.syrahost.com.
